The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. robot cleaner uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rug.
The device comes with a expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of advanced features. It's important to keep in mind that it has recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. This includes the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was in the process of finishing its work.
Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the necessity to switch between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base has several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
