Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time. You'll have a an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you could opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are also excellent and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its course automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually.  robot cleaner 've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.

Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it an excellent option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available, but it packs in a lot of extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There's an impressive amount of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine.  websites  comes with a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
