The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be ideal for those looking to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also rapid.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the intensity of its suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.
The device is costly, but has many smart features. It is important to remember that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three month.
This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. This includes a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which has an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to draw a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your house from being cleaned with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. robot vacuums uk houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
automatic hoover to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
